We are based in Silver Spring, Maryland, and generally work within a 30-45 minute driving radius, including: Montgomery County, most of DC, and portions of Prince George’s and Fairfax Counties. 

But we are flexible! If you’re not sure if you are in our service area, just reach out and we can chat. We can also provide design-only services for properties farther away (e.g., Chesapeake Bay, the Blue Ridge). 

The first step is to complete the form below. Once that is submitted, we will review it and then reach out to schedule a consultation at your property. During the consultation, we will walk through your property with you, assess the conditions of the land, understand your needs/goals, and help you visualize what’s possible.

After the consultation, we will develop a proposal that provides a cost estimate and description of our suggested approach.

Costs can range significantly from project to project, depending on size and site complexity. But for a typical project in our service area, average costs for design and installation range from $5,000-$15,000.

Our minimum cost is $1,000 for all landscaping projects.

We usually require an on-site consultation before we can give out an exact cost estimate.

Swamp Rose Co-op has a dedicated, knowledgeable garden stewardship team that provides ecological garden care for clients interested in ongoing landscape management support, particularly for landscapes with significant native plantings. This includes basic maintenance services such as precision weeding, shrub and tree pruning, seasonal cut backs, and mulching, as well as support for development of longer-term management goals including invasive species management and identification of supplemental planting needs for gardens as they mature.

Clients who sign up for an annual garden care & stewardship contract will receive a care & stewardship plan that includes a summary of the season's garden goals as well as a maintenance visit schedule that will accomplish those goals.

We also offer standalone maintenance visits for any clients who do not want to enter into an annual contract. These are scheduled by request and billed by the hour.

We schedule consultations ASAP after you submit the form below. In practice, the timing is highly dependent on the season. There may be up to a 4-6 week delay during our busy spring and fall installation seasons, while we may be able to schedule within a week during slower times of year – peak summer heat and in the winter.

Then, depending on the complexity of the project, season, availability of plants/materials, and how many projects we have in front of you, the work can start anywhere from a few weeks to several months after the contract is signed.
