Pollinator Day + Recycling with One Montgomery Green

Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

8900 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD

On Saturday April 11 from 10am-4pm, the nursery is celebrating our native pollinators! What better way to support our ecosystem than to give our bumblebees, hummingbirds, and more the food and shelter that they’ve co-evolved with? Chat with our team about the kinds of pollinators you’d like to attract.

During this day, from 10am-1pm, Silver Spring UMC and One Montgomery Green are hosting a community shredding and electronics recycling day! Bring all that stuff you’ve been meaning to recycle and enjoy treats from a local food truck while you’re at it.

Native Edibles day

We’re highlighting the juiciest and tastiest plant offerings our region has to offer on Saturday April 25! We love peaches and apples as much as the next person, but we’re focusing on the lesser known, more hardy, and equally delicious native edibles that have nourished this area for quite a while.

From fruits like paw paws and blueberries to spices like sumac and spicebush, come explore what we’ll have in stock for you. Swing by the nursery and let’s chat so that you can snack!
